Clinical Research

At Doverie Hospital, participating in clinical trials for the development of new pharmaceutical products and medical devices is a key mission. New medicinal products and devices are necessary to diagnose and treat diseases or prevent them, where the current standard of care leaves much to be desired.

Following the model of academic medical centers in the USA, a central Clinical Research Unit (CRU) supports all doctors at Doverie Hospital conducting clinical trials to the highest standards of medical science and ethics, in full compliance with national law.

Sponsors and Contract Research Organizations go through the CRU from 1st contact about a new protocol through the execution of the research contract. The CRU supports investigators from study preparation through the study closeout visit.

The Doverie Hospital CRU is managed by Crossover CRI AG in Switzerland and its Bulgarian subsidiary Crossover EOOD, who specialize in setting up, staffing and equipping of CRUs (see Crossover’s website www.crossover-cri.com).
