The Gastroenterology Sector of Doverie Medical Centre-AD comprises two consultancies equipped with:
• an ultrasonograph;
• devices for upper and lower digestive tract endoscopy;
The team’s good qualifications and the presence of a small operating theatre and state-of-the-art equipment enable the conducting of a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions:
• Abdominal ultrasonography;
• Diagnostic upper and lower digestive tract endoscopy;
• Oesophagus and stomach manometry;
• Various types of biopsies;
• Stomach-tube insertion and lavage;
• Bougieing of oesophageal strictures and balloon dilation of colon strictures;
• Endoscopic polypectomy;
• Endoscopic varices ligature;
• Perianal medication infiltration;
• Paracentesis for ascites
• Administering medication for tumour treatment under sonographic control
• Draining interventions under sonographic control
