The Laboratory of Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology at Doverie Hospital comprises a cytological sector, a histological laboratory and a histological database.

The laboratory performs the full range of cytological and histological tests covering a wide range of diseases:
• surgical;
• gynecological;
• gastroenterological;
• dermatological;
• pulmonary;
• otorhinolaryngological.

Due to the state-of-the-art equipment the processing of the preparations submitted from the clinical departments is very fast. For example, in case of breast, ovary or colon pathology, the fast test is made in 10 minutes after the receipt of the material from the operation theatre. Pathology reports are usually ready within 48 hours.

The Department employs highly qualified specialists who perform diagnostic work at a professional level, which coupled with the cutting-edge equipment, guarantees the high reliability of the test results.
