Microbiological Laboratory

The microbiological laboratory services hospital and medical centre patients.

The unit performs tests on :

1. secretions – pharyngeal, nasal, auricular, ocular, wound, from the genital system (vaginal, cervical, urethral, prostate and sperm)
2. urine – for lack of bacteria
3. feces – for enrollment at children’s care establishments, for health card upon labour contract
4. materials for Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma – vaginal, cervical, urethral secretions, sperm and urine
5. materials for Chlamydia (dry test) – vaginal, cervical and urethral secretions
6. identification of isolated pathogenic agent
7. antibiogramme based on an isolated pathogenic agent
